Join us and make an impact today!POSITION PURPOSE:CIM is seeking to recruit an experienced investor relations and fundraising professional to work alongside the Head of APAC to spearhead the growth of the firm’s institutional business primarily in Australia and New Zealand, with the opportunity to more broadly help support across the APAC region. This role provides the opportunity to join the APAC Global Clients Group, which has a strong group of existing clients from across the region, as well as the opportunity to support the addition of new relationships. This opportunity to join CIM as an integral member of the APAC team offers the successful candidate a key role in the firm’s growth strategy through the development and implementation of a focused asset gathering and relationship management plan across the region. The position offers significant career growth opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as an integral member of the APAC Institutional Client Group, working closely with Head of APAC to spearhead the firm’s strategy around messaging, investor engagement, and capital raising within Australia, New Zealand and the broader APAC regionResponsible for promoting the firm’s full suite of real estate, infrastructure, and credit investment products and capabilities to the institutional channel in APACObtain new institutional relationships by leveraging current network and developing new relationships, in addition to leveraging firm-wide relationships with asset ownersKey contributor to bringing complex and innovative solutions to clients and prospectsThis person must anticipate risks to the firm’s investor base and ensure that marketing strategies are aligned with an evolving competitive landscapeThe successful candidate will contribute to raising the overall profile of CIM in the APAC institutional community by communicating clearly and confidently to the marketplaceProvide exceptional client service to existing client baseThis candidate is expected to travel significantly EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.) Professional Experience and Skills - Ideally a minimum of 7+ years of institutional fundraising experience, with 3 to 5+ years’ experience in the Australian institutional market - He/she will have experience influencing investment decision makers within the institutional channel, and preferably will have experience representing private market strategies - A successful track record of raising capital and building deep and lasting relationships with key decision makers in the institutional landscape - Insight into relevant industry trends and the regulatory landscape, credibility with the institutional audience, and the relationships required to increase penetration in this channel - Entrepreneurial self-starter with the willingness to roll up their sleeves in a growth-oriented firmEducation and Credentials - Candidates should have an undergraduate degree from a leading educational institution - Although not specifically required, additional credentials such as an MBA or CFA or similar would be considered a plus ABOUT YOU: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and presentation skills, and strong attention to detailNaturally collaborative, quickly builds trust, operates with “balance of IQ and EQ” driven to achieve success as a team versus individuallyIntellectually curious, possesses gravitas; hands-on, long-term oriented, desire to contribute beyond one’s roleAbility to work well under pressure, manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize workloadPossess a high level of energy, discipline, tenacity and self-motivationOperate with a high degree of integrity, pursue efforts for ongoing self-development and improvement Additional Information WHAT CIM OFFERS:At CIM, we believe our success stems from our collective efforts, and we are committed to providing well-rounded support and resources for our employees.
