Associate Data Scientist/AI Trainer

We are seeking a customer-facing Associate Data Scientist/AI Trainer to join a Professional Services team focused on Conversational AI implementations. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of Natural Language Processing technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for working with Developers and Conversation Designers to ensure highest levels of accuracy and performance in Five9’ AI based solutions such as intelligent virtual agents, agent guided solutions, and others. Responsibilities: Label language data following labeling guidelines. Ensure that labeling/data analysis tasks are completed on time and to a high standard. Review, maintain and improve labeling guidelines and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy of labeling/analysis. Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to identify requirements and prioritize tasks. Work with the project management team to ensure that labeling/analysis tasks are scheduled and completed according to project timelines. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and reduce errors. Implement/improve methods to compare and evaluate LLM outputs. Create and curate multilingual speech and text datasets. Evaluate and recommend ML models for topic modeling, summarization, intent classification. Create data visualization tools and dashboards. Minimum Qualifications: Familiarity with NLP labeling/analysis. Undergraduate degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Linguistics or similar. Understanding of Conversational AI concepts and technologies. Excellent project management and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Preferred Qualifications Graduate degree or higher in in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Linguistics or similar. Experience with programming and data analysis/statistics with languages and platforms such as Python, R, Jupyter, and SQL. Experience in a customer-facing role (requirement gathering, presentations, etc.). Familiarity with version control, unit tests, and other programming best practices. Proficiency in additional languages. Experience designing and conducting data experiments. Familiarity with bot frameworks such as IBM Watson, Amazon Lex, Rasa or Google Dialogflow. Experience with ML libraries, such as SciKit Learn, TensorFlow, etc. Hands on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning and evaluation. Work Location: This role is fully remote for candidates who reside outside the 50 mile radius of our San Ramon office. For candidates who reside within 50 miles of our San Ramon location, this role is Hybrid and would require 3 days a week (M, W, TH) in our San Ramon office.
