Associate Brand Manager, Sweets Brand Team (Hershey, PA, US)

Summary of Role:
An Associate Brand Manager (ABM), Sweets Brand Team is a marketing leader who is responsible for projects and activities that grow Hershey's sweets business. An ABM must be a strong leader of people in cross-functional assignments as he/she/they play a leadership role throughout the company, coordinating with other functional areas to ensure necessary actions occur in alignment with project goals. This position often plays a significant role with outside marketing partners such as ad, media, and design agencies.

Additionally, this position requires strong analytical skills as well as an ability to translate analysis on the business into recommended programs affecting all major marketing variables. Those marketing variables include advertising, promotion, new products, retail programs, and other key programs that could affect short and long-term profitability and share position.



Role Responsibilities:

Strategic, annual, and marketing planning and periodic re-planning of the business
Leadership of activities inside and outside the company that will result in successful implementation of marketing plans
Analysis of the business results or directing such analysis
Deep knowledge of the commercial, operational, and financial dimensions of the business
Partnership with consumer connections and demand creation team to support strategy development for short/long-term brand and equity building opportunities including strategic partnerships, media plans, consumer activation moments, and tentpole moments
Partnering with agency partners (media, creative, and design) to deliver strategic initiatives grounded in consumer centric data and brand foundations.
External and internal assessments of the business environment, competitors, customers, market trends, and implications to the particular area of responsibility

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education –



MBA preferred or equivalent experience



Experience –



3+ years of related professional experience.
Previous project management experience with proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment is preferred.
Previous P&L exposure is a plus.
Experience with Nielsen and/or IRI is a plus.
