Associate Apparel Designer
Our client, a global sportswear brand, is seeking an Associate Designer to join their team in Miami, specializing in activewear and performance apparel. This role partners closely with senior leadership to influence product direction, elevate seasonal concepts, and support the execution of high-quality, innovative menswear collections. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative, with a strong foundation in menswear design. This role is based on-site in Miami, FL and offers relocation assistance. Responsibilities • Partner with senior leadership to shape the creative direction for fabric and print development. • Ensure all designs support business goals, SKU plans, and cohesive merchandising stories. • Present trend research, seasonal concepts, and new collections to internal teams and external partners. • Collaborate with merchandising to align creative vision with seasonal timelines and business objectives. • Oversee the approval of sales samples and provide detailed fit comments to ensure garments are production-ready. • Maintain alignment with the time-and-action calendar to ensure all deadlines are met. • Support the development of junior designers and interns through feedback, guidance, and creative mentorship. Qualifications • Minimum of 3+ years of design experience. • Menswear design experience is required. • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. • Experience with 3D design platforms, AI tools (e.g., Midjourney), and Nedgraphics is a strong plus. • Background in activewear or performance apparel—particularly golf—is highly preferred. • Experience with heritage brands is a strong advantage. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. • Strong creative vision supported by a cohesive, polished portfolio. • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate concepts across diverse audiences.
