Associate (Antitrust & Competition Economics practice)

The Associate in the Antitrust & Competition Economics practice will perform economic analyses, build models, and conduct research to support case theories for clients involved in antitrust and merger cases.ResponsibilitiesPerform economic analyses to support case theoriesBuild Excel models, and perform regression analysis and programming using languages such as Stata, R, Python, or SASConduct economic and industry research while analyzing client materials to build an understanding of a case’s issuesReview and summarize analyst reports, client documents, and industry trade pressAssist in the production and development of research summaries, expert reports, and the presentation of findingsEnsure the integrity and accuracy of analyses; andAssist with practice development activities (training, recruiting, knowledge management)SkillsBachelor's or Master's degree with an academic focus on quantitative research (Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline)Up to 2 years of relevant work experience in financial/economic analysis, preferably in a consulting firm (we are accepting applications from recent graduates and candidates in the workforce)Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to explain, economic, financial and/or accounting concepts, and quantitative and qualitative analysis methodsExperience working with large data sets in Excel and/or statistical analysis programs (e.g SAS, Stata, R, etc.)Curious and analytical thinkers who bring creative approaches to non-standard problemsEffective written and oral communication skillsEagerness to learn new skills and programming languagesDemonstrated high level of initiative and leadershipStrong teamwork and collaboration capabilitiesExcellent time management and task prioritization skillsClear and demonstrated interest in consultingBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with employer matchLife and disability insurancePaid time off (vacation, sick leave, holidays)Paid parental leaveWellness programs and employee assistance resourcesCommuter benefitsCompany OverviewCharles River Associates is a consulting firm specializing in financial, litigation, regulatory, and management consulting.
