Key Responsibilities Teach across the curricular areas at both BSW and MSW levels, demonstrating expertise in social work education Conduct research and scholarly activities, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field Engage in service and academic leadership, including committee work and community involvement Develop and implement curriculum that reflects anti-racist and decolonizing pedagogy Build relationships with students, colleagues, and community partners to foster a culture of inclusivity and social change Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: PhD in Social Work or a related field (ABD/doctoral candidates considered) Master of Social Work (MSW) Practice experience with historically minoritized individuals, groups, and/or communities A minimum of two (2) years of practice/prior experience Evidence of research and scholarly productivity Ability to teach across the curricular areas at both BSW and MSW levels Commitment to and experience applying anti-racist and decolonizing pedagogy Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to teach independently Preferred Qualifications: Academic leadership experience Practice and research experience with Indigenous communities, individuals with disabilities, and/or the aging population Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a faculty member at the University of Montana, you will have opportunities for professional growth and development, including: Competitive salary range: $68,000 to $82,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications Comprehensive benefits package, including health and life insurance, mandatory retirement savings plan, partial tuition waiver, and employee wellness program Opportunities for research and scholarly activities, including funding support for projects Professional development opportunities, including workshops, conferences, and training programs Collaborative and interdisciplinary work environment Work Environment and Company Culture The University of Montana is located in Missoula, a thriving community that balances the warmth of small-town life with the sophistication and amenities of the urban northwest.
