As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of physical activity implementation and health disparities research, while mentoring and teaching the next generation of leaders in the field.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and passionate individual to join our team as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Kinesiology, with a focus on physical activity implementation and health disparities. The successful candidate will have a strong research background, excellent teaching skills, and a commitment to working with diverse student populations. The ideal candidate will also have experience in building and sustaining community partnerships, as well as a potential for obtaining external grant or industry funding.
Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in sport pedagogy, motor behavior/development, or related curriculum
Develop and maintain an active and focused research agenda in physical activity and health disparities
Mentor undergraduate and graduate students
Collaborate with colleagues across the department and university
Participate in service roles within the department, college, university, and profession
Requirements:
Earned doctorate (PhD or equivalent) in Kinesiology, Motor Development/Behavior, Implementation Science, Physical Activity and Health/Wellness, Behavioral Science, or closely related field
Potential for developing an extramurally funded research profile
Evidence of teaching at the university level
Commitment to working with diverse student populations
Preferred Qualifications:
Post-doc or prior experience in a faculty position
Record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals or disseminating research to academic audiences
Demonstrated collegiate teaching experience in developing and delivering in-person, online, and hybrid courses
Potential for successful extramural funding
