Assistant/Associate Professor of Computer Science
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant/Associate Professor of Computer Science to join our team at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. As a faculty member in the College of Humanities and Sciences, you will play a key role in shaping the minds of future leaders in the field of computer science.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory and upper-level computer science courses, with a focus on network security and cybersecurity. You will also be expected to contribute to curriculum development, student recruitment and advising, and professional attainment. Key Responsibilities:
Teach introductory and upper-level computer science courses, including network security and cybersecurity
Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of undergraduate students
Advise and mentor students to help them achieve their academic and professional goals
Contribute to the growth and development of the Computer Science, Engineering, and Physics Department
Participate in department, college, and university service activities
Requirements:
Doctorate in Computer Science (ABD will be considered, but tenure-track status requires terminal degree in hand)
Experience in network security or cybersecurity (preferred, but related fields will be considered)
Excellent teaching and communication skills
Dedication to professional attainment and quality improvement
