Assistant Unit Manager I - Specialty Critical Care
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Unit Manager I - Specialty Critical Care to join our team at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC). As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of a complex Special Critical Care Unit, such as Emergency Department, Labor & Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, or Perioperative Services.
Responsibilities:
Assign and review work, oversee staffing, and assist with day-to-day clinical operations of a Special Critical Care Unit
Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and implement changes to improve patient care
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellent patient outcomes
Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing
Two (2) years of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse with one (1) year of experience in a Specialty Unit (Burn Center, Cardiac Services, Critical Care, Emergency Department/Trauma, Labor & Delivery, Medical Imaging, and Operative Services)
Current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Certifications/courses required by unit (e.g., Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Fetal Monitoring, Critical Care course)
Preferred Qualifications:
Supervisory/charge nurse experience
Bachelor's degree in Nursing
