Golden Touch is a family owned and operated wholesale apparel manufacturer seeking an Assistant Technical Designer to join their dynamic handbag and soft leather goods team. The role involves supporting the design and production process, ensuring products meet high standards of quality and functionality.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the creation of technical packages (tech packs) to communicate design specifications to factoriesDevelop and update CADs and technical design details for production and retailer appointmentsSupport the Design Director with color CAD development for specs and presentationsCollaborate with the team on trend and color forecasting to influence future collectionsOrganize and track sample development, ensuring accuracy and timely executionWork closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product developers, and factories, to troubleshoot and refine designsUtilize PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems to maintain and update product detailsSkillsBachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, or a related field1-2 years of experience in technical design, preferably in handbags or accessoriesStrong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and ExcelFamiliarity with technical design processes, construction techniques, and material specificationsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a teamPassion for the handbag and accessories industry with an eye for design and innovationExperience with PLM software is a plusCompany OverviewGolden Touch is a manufacturer and retailer of clothing products.
