This is a full-time, non-tenure-track, term appointment funded for one-year for the Fall 25/Spring 26 academic year.Responsibilities include teaching a range of undergraduate courses (typically 12 credit hours per semester) including analog and digital circuit courses as well as instrumentation and control theory courses for the Electro-Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering Technology Programs. Teaching assignments may include evening classes, remote instruction, or classes at other PSU campuses in the greater-Pittsburgh region. The faculty member will also assist with service expectations that may include committee assignments. Additional responsibilities include participation in activities to maintain currency and subject matter mastery in the field.Qualifications include a minimum of a master’s degree in engineering focused in electrical engineering or closely related disciplines. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge and experience in the majority of the following areas: analog and digital circuit analysis, instrumentation, electric motor control, and automated control systems and theory. Prior college-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.Penn State New Kensington is one of more than 20 Penn State campuses located across the Commonwealth. Our 70-acre campus in scenic, rural Westmoreland County is situated only 30 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, and the location offers a wide range of lifestyles from urban to rural. We are a student-centered campus of approximately 400 students. The coursework for the first two years of more than 160 Penn State baccalaureate majors is offered, as well as 10 baccalaureate degrees and 5 associate degrees that can be completed at the campus.
