We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our team at Childcare Network, a renowned provider of early childhood education. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment that fosters the cognitive, social, and emotional development of our children.
Founded in 1988, Child Development Schools operates over 260 childcare centers in 11 states, providing quality care and developmental education to over 30,000 children aged six weeks to twelve years. Responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Teacher in maintaining a safe, warm, and inviting classroom environment that is clean and organized
Communicate daily with families regarding student progress or needs, encouraging partnership and support
Develop strong professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to encourage parent and community engagement
Maintain high-quality standards of care for every child, adhering to minimum licensing, quality rated, and/or accreditation guidelines and company standards
Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, utilizing our science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities
Keep daily records, including attendance, child portfolios, USDA documentation, and other records required by local agencies
Contribute to the center's success by partnering with team members and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement
Requirements:
Genuine warmth and understanding of the needs of young children and their families
Positive attitude and self-image, with a commitment to innovation and creativity
Strong communication skills with coworkers, parents, and children
HS Diploma or GED required, with a willingness to learn and grow
Must pass the state-required criminal background check
