JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT DISTRIBUTIVE TRADE MANAGER – GREAT PLUSLOCATION: MALAYSIAROLE PURPOSEThe Assistant Distributive Trade Manager is responsible for driving distribution, sales execution, and in‑market excellence by leading distributor partners and their sales teams. This role ensures strong availability, visibility, and execution across all trade channels while delivering sustainable sales growth.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDistributor & Sales Team ManagementLead, coach, and supervise distributor sales teams to ensure alignment with company sales objectivesConduct regular joint field visits and structured business reviews to drive execution excellenceBuild strong distributor partnerships and ensure adherence to agreed commercial priorities Stock ManagementMonitor distributor primary and secondary stock levels to prevent stock‑outs and overstockingEnsure healthy stock coverage, proper rotation, and freshness across all SKUsDrive disciplined inventory management in line with company targets Channel & Trade ExecutionManage and execute across all trade channels (General Trade, Modern Trade, and alternative channels where applicable)Secure optimal shelf space, negotiate in‑store promotions, and ensure planogram complianceDrive effective in‑store visibility through displays, POS materials, and secondary placements Sales Analytics & Business InsightsAnalyze sales data to identify performance gaps and growth opportunitiesTrack outlet‑level performance and distribution qualityUse insights to prioritize routes, outlets, SKUs, and sales actions Investment & Trade Spend ManagementManage trade investments including promotions, discounts, and displaysEnsure trade spend is effectively utilized within budget to maximize ROITrack promotion performance and drive continuous improvement Sales Gap & Performance ManagementIdentify root causes of sales shortfalls and underperformanceImplement corrective actions such as route optimization, coverage expansion, or focused SKU pushesSupport distributors in improving productivity and sales effectiveness Distribution & Visibility GrowthDrive expansion into new outlets and improve numeric and weighted distributionEnsure strong product visibility through effective merchandising standardsImprove availability and execution to support sustainable sell‑out growth EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related fieldMinimum 2–4 years of experience in sales, distributor management, or trade execution (FMCG preferred)Strong understanding of distributive trade, route‑to‑market, and channel dynamicsProven ability to manage distributor relationships and frontline sales teamsStrong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insightsSolid negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skillsWillingness to spend significant time in the field and engage closely with customersARE YOU INTERESTED?Please apply online and add your updated resume.
