Assistant Director of Food and Beverage - Task Force Operations Team
About the position
As a member of the Task Force Operations Team, you'll temporarily lead specific hotels, departments, or teams. Collaborate with leadership and functional leads to maintain brand standards, implement effective strategies, and drive success during your assignments. You'll ensure guest satisfaction, financial stewardship, and team member engagement while adapting to evolving scenarios.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Lead, train, supervise, and meticulously schedule food and beverage staff/management, meticulously adhering to Hilton's unwavering service standards.
ā¢ Harness your culinary prowess to craft menus and develop strategies in alignment with evolving market trends.
ā¢ Execute the implementation of novel menus and captivating promotional campaigns, encompassing occasions like holidays and special events.
ā¢ Exercise a vigilant eye over food and beverage outlet operations, swiftly addressing any deviations from our stringent standards.
ā¢ Routinely engage in taste tests to ensure an unwavering commitment to consistent quality.
ā¢ Effortlessly handle guest inquiries and extend an exceptional level of service by accommodating special requests and orchestrating unique arrangements within our food and beverage outlets.
ā¢ Foster seamless collaboration among various departments by partnering with outlet managers. This cooperative effort includes maintaining optimal linen stock to ensure smooth operations.
ā¢ Harness the power of computer systems to perform in-depth analyses of forecasts, costs, and revenue reports. Skillfully leverage these insights to guide strategic decisions aimed at maximizing profitability.
ā¢ Prioritize your safety by using provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
Requirements
ā¢ Possess comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage operations, including service techniques and guest interaction.
ā¢ Display proficiency in mathematical calculations, including percentages.
ā¢ Engage in various physical activities such as sitting, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, near and far vision, hearing, talking, smell, taste, and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
ā¢ Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to interact with guests and colleagues.
ā¢ Thrive under pressure and effectively manage stressful situations during high-demand periods.
ā¢ Navigate moderately complex computer systems to access and input information.
ā¢ Flexibility in scheduling may be required to accommodate the hospitality industry's fluctuating demands
ā¢ At least 5 years of food & beverage operations management (preferred).
ā¢ Possess Food Service Sanitation certification.
ā¢ Obtain an Alcohol Service Permit if required by the state.
ā¢ Present a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with Hilton's uniform guidelines.
Nice-to-haves
ā¢ CPR certification is preferred.
