Assistant Developmental Editor
GW is a premier publishing services provider looking for a creative individual passionate about education and learning to join their Content Development team. The Assistant Developmental Editor will support in-house instructional designers and subject matter experts by ensuring content quality and alignment with project goals, as well as performing quality checks and occasionally writing questions.ResponsibilitiesEnsuring content conforms to supplied templates (file formatting, order of content) Performing quality checks on content and assessments written by freelance SMEs/writers; including evaluating for overall quality, spelling, grammar, clarity, and alignment with project goals and correcting as neededOccasionally writing/rewriting questionsSkillsBachelor's degree or higherPrevious writing experience, in particular analytical writingExperience with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word and Track ChangesStrong critical thinking skillsStrong writing and grammar skillsStrong organizational skills1+ year's experience in publishing, education (teaching or research), or trainingDegree or working toward a degree in instructional design, higher education, or curriculum developmentIntermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft WordIntermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelPrior customer service or project management experienceStrong attention to detailAbility to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyBenefitsOpportunities for advancementVariety!
