MGR Accounting Recruiters, a Teamshares Network company, is searching for a Controller for a client in San Antonio.Assistant Controller The Assistant Controller is a key member of the accounting team and reports directly to the Controller. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for providing financial support to all areas of the business, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Responsibilities Prepare financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statementManage the general ledger and accounts payable and receivablePrepare WIP reportingDevelop and implement budgets and forecastsAnalyze financial data and prepare reports for managementAssist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting departmentPrepare monthly sales tax and payroll tax reportsProvide financial advice and guidance to management Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required7-12 years of experience in accounting in a construction industry related company requiredCPA or CMA certification a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel used consistently)Proficiency in ComputerEase a plus
