We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Boys Basketball Coach to join our team in Columbus, OH. Job Description:
The successful candidate will have previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport, substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport, and the ability to serve as a positive role model for student athletes. You will be responsible for instructing athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training, as well as promoting character development, self-discipline, and self-confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement athletic policies and procedures approved by the school board
Develop and execute practice plans, game strategies, and player development programs
Supervise and evaluate assistant coaches and support staff
Communicate effectively with student athletes, parents, and school administrators
Maintain accurate records, reports, and inventory of equipment and supplies
Participate in budgeting and financial planning for the athletic program
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
Requirements:
Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport
Concussion Certification and National Federation of High School Sports Coaching Accreditations
Compliance with IHSAA coaching certification regulations
Strong knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
