Job Highlights: Start Date: Immediate openings available Compensation: Competitive salary with opportunities for overtime pay and merit-based increases Position: ASL-VRI Interpreter - Daytime, Evening, Weekend Shifts Company: Workwarp Location: Remote (work from anywhere) Key Responsibilities: As an ASL-VRI interpreter at Workwarp, your primary responsibilities will include: Facilitating communication access among Deaf and hearing communities in various healthcare settings Providing interpreting and/or transliterating services with a high level of accuracy and professionalism Maintaining strict confidentiality of all medical information and adhering to the NAD-RID Professional Code of Conduct Rendering messages faithfully, conveying the content and spirit of the speaker Accepting assignments with discretion, considering your skills, the setting, and the consumers involved Functioning in a manner appropriate to each interpreted situation, with a focus on customer satisfaction Striving to further your knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development Managing your work schedule effectively, with the ability to plan ahead and maintain flexibility Requirements: To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following qualifications: Complete proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Valid certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Knowledge of the NAD-RID Professional Code of Conduct Self-motivated with excellent customer service skills Ability to work well with minimal supervision and demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving abilities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Experience using MS Office and other related software and systems (e.g., Internet and Intranet applications) Medical interpretation experience (preferred) Skills and Competencies: To succeed as an ASL-VRI interpreter at Workwarp, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in ASL and RID certification Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare settings Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional codes of conduct Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At Workwarp, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our interpreters.
