As an ASIC Design Engineer - Memory Cache Controller, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing special-purpose cache and controller systems that are integral to our System-on-Chip (SoC) memory hierarchy. Key Responsibilities Participate in cache micro-architecture development from specifications found in architecture guidelines and model analysis. Explore architecture trade-offs in system performance, area, and power consumption, collaborating with the performance analysis team. Develop and debug RTL (Register-Transfer Level) designs of different sections of the cache. Work closely with the physical design team to close timing and ensure optimal performance. Contribute to the development of memory systems, including experience in RTL/micro-architecture definition and PPA (performance/power/area) analysis. Apply knowledge of dedicated coherent memory systems or interconnect architectures, as well as strong cache design background, including understanding of different memory organizations and trade-offs. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) + 10 years of experience in ASIC design, with a focus on cache and controller systems. Strong understanding of computer architecture, digital design, and VLSI design principles. Experience with RTL design, verification, and physical design. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in developing memory systems, including RTL/micro-architecture definition and PPA analysis. Knowledge of dedicated coherent memory systems or interconnect architectures. Strong cache design background, including understanding of different memory organizations and trade-offs. Familiarity with multi-processor cache coherence protocols. Experience with programming languages, such as C/C++, and scripting languages.
