Architectural Designer - Project Lead - Revit - Remote - Restaurant Finish-out projects

Must have experience putting together construction drawing sets for commercial finish-out projects located in the US. Must have Revit experience. Our clients are restaurant brands that trust our team to lead them through the design, CD, and permitting phases. This role owns the drawing set and knows the project flow. This is not an easy job.

Architectural Designer - Revit drafter Role

Role Starting Pay: $30-$40 hourly (as a contractor)

Role Location: Remote, Western Hemisphere to align with US Central Time Zone

Direct Reports: Senior Project Manager

Role Purpose: Lead the drafting in Revit/AutoCAD for restaurant projects. Assist to manage architectural projects from design to construction. Prepare the base and supporting files in Revit/AutoCAD to develop and complete the architectural construction drawings. Deliver successful design and construction drawings accurately, on budget, and on time. Coordinate with consultants (MEP & Structural) as required. Update and help manage each client’s Revit/CAD and Project prototype. The purpose is to care for the client and project team to lead it to a successful design and construction process. Having a well coordinated set of high quality drawings while beating the schedule is a requirement.

As a project drafter, you will be responsible for the CDs and their power to propel a project forward. You will need to be enrolled in the vision of the business. You will need to understand and follow the principles we work under. You will be a part of regular team training to learn and improve ourselves, our team, and our skills. Developing and sharing a passion for what we do, and excitement about our daily operations and team members, is an integral part of performing within this role.

BUCKETS OF RESPONSIBILITY
• The main production person for the project. You are the creator of the CDs. This is yours and our reputation.
• Organizing, tracking and implementing all relevant project information. Super organized.
• Communicate to ensure project teams are informed and up to date throughout the process. Super important.
• Help sustain project momentum, delivery dates, and performance targets.
• Creation, documentation, tracking, and organization of project information.
• Collecting and reviewing all project data to ensure we have everything needed to complete a project.
• Designing and presenting design options and layout.
• Creating, reviewing, and presenting CDs (Construction Drawings)
• Coordinating with consultants (Civil, structural, MEP) to ensure the CDs are well coordinated

REQUIREMENTS
• Genuine interest and passion in carrying out the vision and purpose of AEP America

• 5+ Years experience in using Revit/AutoCAD for commercial projects on the architectural side.
• Very organized to complete a highly accurate set of CDs
• Experienced in working independently and remotely
• Experienced in working with an internal and external project team.
