As a Principal Product Designer within Target's Inspire & Motivate team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital experience for our guests. This position is designed for a seasoned design professional who is passionate about creating user-centered experiences in a dynamic retail environment. Your primary focus will be on defining and implementing the strategy for key digital touchpoints, including the Home and Category Pages, Header, Footer, and Site Navigation. You will be responsible for evolving the off and on-platform journey and experience architecture, ensuring that every interaction is seamless and delightful for our guests. In this role, you will set the UX strategy and vision for product experiences across various digital platforms. This involves influencing investment decisions, fostering collaborations, and balancing new initiatives with iterative improvements. You will lead and coordinate efforts among diverse cross-functional teams, engaging effectively with senior-level stakeholders to navigate complexity and ambiguity while delivering impactful results for both guests and the business. Your work will encompass a high standard of craft, including accessibility, content, user research, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design. You will drive the strategy for creating design deliverables that represent various phases of the design process, such as journey maps, wireframes, user flows, UI designs, and prototypes. Additionally, you will champion both qualitative and quantitative research methods to inform design decisions and advance a culture of human-centered practice within UX, product, and engineering teams. Supporting the development of junior product designers and contributing to the broader practice of UX at Target will also be key aspects of your role.

• Influence and advance a culture of human-centered practice within UX, product, and engineering teams.

• Support the development of junior product designers and contribute to advancing the broader practice of UX at Target.

Requirements
• Experienced product designer with 10+ years of relevant product design work.
,
• Expert proficiency in UX and product design, coupled with adeptness in organizing, planning, and taking ownership of the design process.
,
• Expert strategic problem-solving, systems thinking, and collaboration skills.
,
• Expert proficiency in product design and prototyping tools (i.e., Figma).
,
• Proven ability to effectively use data and insights to set direction and communicate approach.
,
• Strong experience collaborating with and delivering presentations to executive leadership, employing effective storytelling techniques.
