The Epic Healthy Planet & Compass Rose Analyst for Specialty Pharmacy is a pivotal role within our healthcare organization, responsible for the effective implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the Epic Compass Rose module tailored for specialty pharmacy services. This position requires a deep understanding of both the technical aspects of the Epic software and the unique needs of specialty pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
System Implementation and Optimization
 Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and IT teams to implement the Epic Compass Rose module, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and pharmacy workflow
 Conduct thorough system testing and validation to ensure accurate and efficient functionality
 Customize and configure the module to meet the specific needs of specialty pharmacy services, including medication management, patient care coordination, and regulatory compliance
 Develop and execute optimization strategies to enhance system performance and user satisfaction
Data Analysis and Reporting
 Utilize the Epic Compass Rose module to generate and analyze data related to specialty pharmacy operations, patient outcomes, and financial performance
 Develop custom reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to pharmacy leadership and other stakeholders
 Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement to drive operational excellence
Collaboration and Communication
 Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including pharmacy staff, IT professionals, clinical teams, and administration, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the Epic Compass Rose module
 Facilitate regular meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders to keep them informed about system updates, issues, and improvements
 Foster a collaborative environment that encourages feedback and continuous improvement
 Leverage the care coordination application, Compass Rose, to enhance collaboration between pharmacists and providers. Pharmacists can document assessments and tasks directly in the patientÂs chart, working alongside oncologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care management
Qualifications
Education and Experience
 BachelorÂs degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field is required. A MasterÂs degree or PharmD is preferred.
 Certification in either Epic Compass Rose or Healthy Planet with Compass Rose badge
 Experience with pharmacy operations preferred
Skills And Competencies
 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support users effectively
 Proficiency in system configuration, customization, and optimization
 Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements related to specialty pharmacy services
 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
