Role Description: We are looking for a skilled and passionate Android Mobile Developer with expertise in Kotlin to join our growing team at Meetsta. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Android version of our mobile app, ensuring a smooth and intuitive user experience. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend developers to bring new features to life and optimize existing functionality. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Meetsta’s Android app version using Kotlin.Implement and optimize gRPC-based communication for seamless interactions with backend services.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features that align with business and user needs.Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the app through robust testing and optimization.Identify and fix bugs to improve app stability and performance.Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices.Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends, libraries, and best practices to continuously improve the app.Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.Collaborate with the UI/UX team to ensure a seamless and visually appealing user experience. RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Experience in Android app development with a strong focus on Kotlin and Jetpack Compose (UI)Experience with gRPC for fast and efficient communication between Android apps and backend services.Experience with databases like PostgreSQL.Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android architecture components, and best practices for Android development.Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and integration with backend services.Proficiency in version control (Github) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.Strong knowledge of mobile UI/UX design principles and experience working with designers to create smooth user experiences.Familiarity with tools such as Android Studio and Gradle.Experience with app performance optimization, including memory management and battery usage.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Experience with push notifications, offline storage, and background processing.Previous experience in social networking or mobile-first platforms is a plus.CompensationEquity-based.Important NotesWe are only considering US citizens and Permanent Residents for the role.
