Analyst, Sales Analytics
Hachette Book Group is seeking an Analyst to join our Sales Analytics team. The role involves providing analytical support for Sales business initiatives and developing data-driven insights to inform various decisions across the company. Responsibilities Provide analytical support for Sales business initiatives Assist in preparing presentations for Sales business initiatives and marketplace updates Provide regular reporting (weekly, monthly) on the book marketplace, customers, publishing divisions, and top titles for use by Sales, senior management, and publishers Skills 1-3 years experience working with data and/or business analytics experience Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. v-lookups, complex formulas, pivot tables) Strong PowerPoint and general presentation creation skills Ability to translate data into visual displays that identify clear takeaways Strong written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels within a company Adaptable with the ability to learn new information systems and integrate them into existing processes Superb attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strongly preferred: experience building numerical and visual dashboard reports using data visualization software like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc Familiarity with business intelligence systems (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Tableau, IBM Cognos Analytics, etc.) Prior experience within publishing, media, or consulting Benefits Medical Dental Vision Basic and supplemental life Short-term and long-term disability Accidental death and dismemberment Critical illness Hospital indemnity Long-term care Health and dependent care FSA Commuter benefit plan Employee assistance program Tuition reimbursement Travel assistance 401(k) Discretionary bonus program PTO (15 vacation days, 3 personal days, 10 holidays and generous sick leave) Group discounts on auto and home insurance and legal services Company Overview Hachette Book Group is a US trade publisher.
