About the position SpiderRock Advisors is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Python Developer to join our dynamic, data-driven team at the intersection of finance and technology. In this role, you will be responsible for building and optimizing solutions for data manipulation, quantitative calculations, and financial analysis. Responsibilities • Develop and implement Python-based solutions for quantitative analysis and data manipulation. , • Perform complex quantitative calculations and ensure high-performance, accurate results. , • Work with MySQL/SQL databases to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets. , • Collaborate with other teams to design and optimize algorithms for financial modeling. , • Apply statistical methods and models to real-world financial data to drive key business insights. , • Optimize and refine algorithms for time-series data analysis, statistical modeling, and financial computations. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with significant focus on programming (Graduate degree preferred). , • At least 3 years of programming experience in Python. , • Strong knowledge of statistics and data manipulation for quantitative analysis. , • Hands-on experience with MySQL/SQL databases for querying and managing large data sets. Nice-to-haves • Familiarity with financial instruments (stocks, bonds, derivatives, etc.) and financial data analysis. , • In-depth knowledge of options and option pricing formulas (e.g., Black-Scholes). , • Experience with optimization algorithms (e.g., linear programming, genetic algorithms). , • Familiarity with analyzing and processing time-series data.
