Kroll is a global leader in risk and financial advisory solutions, seeking an Analyst for their Financial Instruments and Technology practice. The role involves performing valuation analysis, designing financial models, and assisting with client interactions to gather relevant data.ResponsibilitiesPerforming valuation analysis on a wide range of illiquid investments broadly distributed across industries and geographies while using accepted and relevant approaches and theoryReviewing investment memoranda, governing documents of structured investments, board of directors’ presentations, and client modelsAssisting team with interviewing clients, including preparing information request lists, participating in face-to-face meetings, to gather data and information pertinent to the engagementDesigning financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction and option pricing analysesCompiling statistical summaries of companies’ financial information, developing and computing financial ratios, and presenting the analyses in an organized manner and/or using our standard formats and presentationsWorking with management with building and maintaining client relationshipsReporting and presenting analyses and conclusions including written reports, including assisting in the presentation of work products and conclusions internally to clientsAttending relevant industry events to broaden your knowledge and experience within the alternative asset industrySkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or MBAMinimum 1 year of constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models including: enterprise valuation using DCF & market approaches, and other structured investment modelsCredit analysis or structured securities experience is a plus: CLOs, CMBS, RMBS, etc., Intex or other toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skillsA fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applicationsExcellent understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitationsExcellent attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to managing multiple ongoing assignmentsKnowledge of software packages including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communitiesExperience working with diverse teamsBenefitsHealthcare Coverage: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans.Time Off and Leave Policies: Generous paid time off (PTO), paid company holidays, generous parental and family leave.Protective Insurances: Life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, and accident protection.Compensation and Rewards: Competitive salary structures, performance-based incentives, and merit-based compensation reviews.Retirement Plans: 401(k) plans with company matching.Company OverviewKroll is a provider of risk solutions that helps clients make confident risk management decisions.
