The Analyst, Advanced Analytics will apply statistical modeling and advanced analytic techniques to enhance clients' media spending efficiency while fostering relationships with various stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesAssist in statistical modeling and marketing performance analysis to provide insights into media planning and buyingConstantly look for ways to improve the usage of Horizon’s existing data and analytics infrastructureWork with stakeholders to improve current analytic processes and develop new capabilities that set us apart in the marketplaceUse automation and technology to increase efficiency and to provide the infrastructure to scaleBring an “outside in perspective” to analytic development; explore, identify and assess external best practices - and translate to relevant application internallyEstablish and maintain excellent working relationship with key functional areas, as well as HMI Analytics and other stakeholders throughout HorizonAct as a liaison between the Analytics team and the internal Brand, Activation and Operational areasSkillsBachelor's degree required plus 0-1 years of industry experienceStrong foundational knowledge of statistics and modeling (e.g. regression modeling/predictive modeling/inferential statistics) requiredAbility to generate clear, concise and comprehensive analyses that tell the story behind the dataExcellent problem-solving skills and a dogged determination to work an issue through to its satisfying conclusion are both a mustPersistence- Demonstrate tenacity and willingness to go the distanceStrong verbal communication skills, extremely well-organizedAnalytical mindset with knowledge and passion for media, data, statistics and technologyCollaborative, can-do attitude, a mustExperience in fast-paced environment, possessing the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyMaster's degree preferred (or, concurrent)Specific marketing response modeling knowledge such as MMM, a plusAcademic or applied exposure to Programming/scripting (R, Python, SQL)Experience in the Advanced Analytics realm, preferably in media, marketing or an adjacent fieldExposure to large data sets (“big data”) and analysis thereof a major plusComfortable in dealing with ambiguity and managing change, plus the capacity to move through roadblocks with enthusiasm and alacrityBenefitsHealth insurance coverageLife and disability insuranceRetirement savings plansCompany paid holidaysUnlimited paid time off (PTO)Mental health and wellness resourcesPet insuranceChildcare resourcesIdentity theft insuranceFertility assistance programsFitness reimbursementCompany OverviewHorizon Next is one of the industry's most innovative and data-driven marketing organizations and sits at the intersection of three constantly changing landscapes: people, data, and media.
