American Sign Language VRI Interpreters (RID Certified) - Overnight Availability
Description:LSA Video is actively seeking experienced ASL Interpreters to work remotely with our state-of-art VRI call center during overnight hours. Candidates must possess American Sign Language (ASL) and/or English transliteration as well as spoken English skills. PT positions and employment opportunities available.Job Responsibilities:Interpret between American Sign Language (ASL), and/or English transliteration and spoken English, through web-based VRI system
Answering inbound VRI sessions in a timely manner
Assist clients with basic troubleshooting (refer to manager or IT department if necessary)
Provide superior customer service
All other duties as assigned by Manager (may include, but not limited to, video and web based ASL recorded translations)
Qualifications/Experience:Maintain, as applicable, compliance with any national, state, or local licensure and/or certification requirements
Adhere to the RID Code of Professional Conduct
Attention to detail
Strong oral and written communication skills
Professional and positive phone manner with clients from all types of businesses
Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the 24/7/365 demands of VRI
Familiarity working in a windows environment (MS Office suite, remote connections—gotomypc, etc.)
RID certification and proof of current Pennsylvania registration
Experience with VRS or VRI systems (preferred)
PC Trouble shooting skills preferred
Minimum of at least a high school diploma
Willingness to learn and take on more responsibilities as needed
Attention to detail, while working in a fast paced environment
At least 5 years of interpreting experience
