**Job Description:**
As a Flight Attendant with American Airlines, you will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring that every passenger enjoys a safe, comfortable, and pleasant flying experience. This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, a high degree of flexibility, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of flight safety and service.
**Responsibilities:**
– Conduct pre-flight safety checks and ensure the aircraft is clean and prepared for boarding.
– Assist passengers with boarding and provide special attention to individuals such as the elderly, children, or those with disabilities.
– Demonstrate emergency and safety procedures such as the use of seat belts, oxygen masks, and life jackets.
– Serve meals, beverages, and sell onboard products to passengers.
– Provide information to passengers, manage in-flight announcements, and respond to inquiries.
– Remain composed and quick-thinking during emergencies and administer first aid to passengers if needed.
– Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations.
**Requirements:**
– Minimum age of 21 years.
– High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
– Ability to reach overhead storage bins and stand for extended periods.
– Possess a valid passport with unrestricted ability to travel in and out of the United States.
– Pass a background check, drug test, and maintain a good driving record.
– Fluency in English; proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
**Educational Qualifications:**
– High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is mandatory.
– Further certifications in hospitality, travel, or customer service are advantageous but not required.
**Experience:**
– Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
– Experience in a high-stress or emergency management role is beneficial.
