**Job Description:**
As an American Airlines Flight Attendant, your primary role will be to ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our passengers while embodying the highest standards of customer service and professionalism. Flight attendants should demonstrate adaptability and an eagerness to assist as they will encounter diverse individuals and situations on every flight.
**Responsibilities:**
– Perform pre-flight cabin checks and ensure all safety and emergency equipment is complete and functional.
– Provide information, guidance, and assistance to passengers onboard.
– Conduct safety briefings and ensure all passengers adhere to security regulations.
– Manage in-flight services including meals, beverages, and duty-free sales.
– Attend to special needs passengers, such as children, individuals with disabilities, and the elderly.
– Act as a reassuring presence in case of emergencies, providing clear and considerate instructions to passengers.
**Requirements:**
– Minimum age of 21 years.
– High school diploma or equivalent; further certification in hospitality or customer service is a plus.
– Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, including standing for up to 4 hours and lifting up to 35 lbs.
– Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
– Fluent in English with additional languages advantageous.
– Ability to swim and comfortable dealing with in-flight emergencies.
– Must pass a background check, drug screening, and possess a valid passport.
**Educational Qualifications:**
– High school diploma or GED required.
– Additional qualifications in hospitality, customer service, or safety management preferred.
**Experience:**
– Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is highly desired but not mandatory.
– Previous experience as a flight attendant is advantageous but comprehensive training is provided.
