As a Packing & Shifting Associate at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products are packed securely and efficiently, ready for shipment to our customers. This role involves handling various packaging materials, coordinating with different departments, and ensuring that shifting operations within the warehouse are conducted smoothly. You will be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: • * Packaging: Safely and efficiently pack a variety of products, ensuring that they meet Amazon quality and safety standards. Use appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit. • * Shifting Operations: Assist in moving products within the warehouse or distribution center, ensuring that items are correctly stored and easily accessible. • * Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and report any discrepancies. Assist in organizing and maintaining an orderly warehouse. • * Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or issues before packing and report any concerns to the supervisor. • * Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations to ensure a safe working environment. • * Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment. • * Documentation: Maintain accurate records of packing and shifting activities, including inventory and shipping documentation. • Required Skills and Qualifications: • * Education: High School diploma or equivalent; additional certification in warehouse operations or logistics is a plus. • * Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse or packing environment is preferred but not required. Training will be provided. • * Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic warehouse tools and equipment. Ability to use packaging machinery is a plus. • * Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods. • * Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in packing and inventory management. • * Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors. • Experience: • * Previous experience in a packing or warehouse role is advantageous but not essential. • * Experience with inventory management systems and basic computer skills is a plus. • Working Hours: • * Full-time positions with flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
