As an Alternative Education Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and students to provide individualized support and guidance. Your responsibilities will include providing escorts and assistance to students, maintaining records, implementing behavior plans, and coordinating student activities. You will also have the opportunity to develop and implement strategies to promote social-emotional learning, self-discipline, and positive behaviors.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to students with behavioral difficulties and develop strategies for effective behavioral interventions
Assist in the design and implementation of behavior plans and provide input on plan design and implementation
Coordinate student activities, including lunch procedures and social-emotional learning programs
Collect and share data with staff to inform behavioral interventions and support student progress
Participate in student intervention meetings and provide oral or written reports of observations and data collection
Interact with students and faculty to promote a safe and welcoming school environment
