The Opportunity The ALM and Capital Model Owner will oversee development work for our Solvency and ERM models, while enhancing senior management’s understanding of GALIC’s financial and risk profile. The role will lead the work of group of actuaries and analysts and collaborate with financial reporting, risk management, and product development areas. Job Responsibilities Actuarial leadership, including staff development, communication and relationship building among departments Oversight and continuous improvement of ALM, Capital and Solvency models as they relate to GALIC’s business, including support for Actuarial, Finance and corporate strategies, and GALIC’s ERM process Maintain a controlled model environment under established model governance procedures. Active engagement in emerging capital and valuation regulations Provide strategic insight while helping to identify future financial performance drivers and indicators related to GALIC’s businesses, with the ability to clearly articulate principal findings and recommendations Desired Competencies Business Acumen Works on assignments of highest technical complexity and can easily perform multiple functions at a high level.
