Job description: The team is looking for a skilled and motivated individual that will be responsible to create sensing based experiences for Home and Audio products of the future. The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge in a number of sensing devices and technologies to coincide with firmware and algorithm capabilities necessary to make the sensor become an experience. You will work very closely with the architecture team, the human experience team, firmware and software teams, and electrical and mechanical engineering teams to define and create sensing experiences for a number of future products. Specifically, during the concept design of a product, the candidate will be responsible to drive and create requirements, identify the best HW solutions available and design the SW algorithms. The individual will be also responsible for the overall sensor integration and tuning in the product and ensuring the highest quality execution.Minimum Qualifications

M.S. in EE, CE, CS, or equivalent experience or skills.
Algorithm design for classification, noise modeling/filtering, signal processing, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
Experience with data analysis, visualization of complex data in Python and/or MATLAB and presenting resulting conclusions.
Implementation into embedded or resource constrained systems in C/C++ in production environments.
Able to learn how to quantify and test new sensing technologies such as IMU, capacitive, environmental, light, motion, radar, optical, acoustic, and evaluate user impact and performance.
Availability to travel domestically and internationally for development and on-site manufacturing support is also expected.

Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $183,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
