Aircraft Maintenance Manager II (Straight Flight)

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Manager II to oversee operations in one or more of our maintenance hangars. In this role, you will lead a team of technicians and inspectors, manage day-to-day maintenance operations, and ensure all aircraft repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards. What You will do: Plan, schedule, and oversee aircraft maintenance and repair activities. Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, safety protocols, and company policies. Lead and develop your team: mentor, train, reward, discipline, and hold staff accountable. Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure on-time, within-budget aircraft delivery. Address maintenance delays and technical issues, implementing process improvements as needed. Maintain responsibility for the airworthiness of aircraft within your assigned hangar(s). Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support operational goals. Must-haves: B.A. (or equivalent degree) - a higher-level degree may substitute for relevant experience. Typically, 8+ years of progressive aviation experience which includes 4+ years of management experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a 145 Repair Station environment. Familiarity with FAA regulations, policies, and procedures. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification Comprehensive knowledge with aviation safety standards, safe operating practices, aircraft maintenance and inspection processes, procedures and/or returning planes to service Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and conflict resolution skills Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) Preferred: Corridor experience Computerized maintenance tracking system experience, (CAMP, Traxall, Cescom, etc.) Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation Heavy repair and modification of both metallic and composite structures Why Join Straight Flight?
