Air Conditioning Engineer

We are looking for a full time Air Conditioning Engineer to join our growing team of service engineers. You’ll be working alongside our other service engineers across a large number of our commercial clients across the Shropshire and surrounding areas.This is a fully remote role and requires a full UK driving licence.This role will support the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of our client services by attending client sites to conduct planned and reactive maintenance.Thermatic Technical FM provide complete nationwide coverage, across the full spectrum of Hard FM services to large, commercial clients. Whilst this is our company standard working week, our clients require "out of hours" maintenance so early starts/late finishes & night works are to be expected.On Call - this role includes a 24 hour on call rota on a maximum 1 week in 4 schedule (Friday-Thursday)Skills, Experience & Qualifications:Essential:Experience working on a range of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration equipment including VRVs, VRFs, Splits and ChillersFGAS Cat 1NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning EquipmentWorking knowledge of Building RegulationsBuilding Environmental and Electrical Services including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning within the building services industrySound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations regarding maintenance activitiesBasic plumbing and building material skills/knowledgeAsbestos AwarenessDesirable:IPAF & PASMAPart P Electrical certificateResponsibilities include:Undertaking all aspects of air conditioning and refrigeration installation, commission, and maintenance including the service and repair of VRVs, VRFs, Splits, and ChillersCarrying out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with Thermatic’s PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and task schedules as directed by the Help Desk and/or management teamProviding accurate timesheet information to designated timeframesCarrying out basic facilities maintenance tasks as requiredSupporting team members including acting as second-man where requiredParticipating in a 24 hour call out rotaAttending team meetings or briefings as requiredSupporting contract teams with meeting SLAs by attending client premises within the desired timeframeSupporting Thermatic with maintaining positive client relationships through on-site interactions with representative and customers of our clientsAssisting office-based staff with producing quotations by providing accurate and good quality information where extra works are identifiedProducing technical and situational reports as requiredEscalating any major site issues or incidents via the appropriate channel and within acceptable timeframesSupporting the training and upskilling of junior service engineersOur PeopleWe’re a business built on people and it’s the people that make us different from other companies.
