Your impactAs an AI Tutor specializing in the Life and Natural Sciences, you will help shape the next generation of AI systems by evaluating expert-labeled data using proprietary tools. Your domain expertise in biology, neuroscience, or related fields will ensure scientific accuracy and quality in AI training. This contract position supports cutting-edge innovation and is fully remote.This is a contract remote position with variable time commitments. The services to be provided by the Contractor under this agreement are supplementary and not integral to the Handshake’s primary business operations. The Contractor’s services are distinct and separate from the core business activities of Handshake.Your roleReview and evaluate expert-labeled data with a focus on biological and life sciences.Provide structured feedback using proprietary software.Assess human and AI-generated scientific responses for relevance and accuracy.Collaborate with technical teams to improve tools and methodologies.Stay current with evolving guidelines and project instructions.Your experiencePhD (or ABD) in Biology, Neuroscience, Physiology, or a related discipline, completed within the last 10 years.Proficient in both technical and informal English writing.Strong research and critical analysis skills.Ability to make independent decisions with minimal instruction.Passionate about science, AI, and the future of research.Bonus areas of expertiseResearch experience with published work in a reputable journal.Previous AI tutoring experience.Teaching experience (professor, teacher, or tutor).Experience in technical writing, journalism, or professional writing.Additional RequirementsAvailability to work evenings and weekends as needed.Ability to quickly adapt to new skills and evolving requirements.Personal device must support Windows 10 or macOS Big Sur 11.0 or later.Reliable access to a smartphone.Location & Work ExpectationsFully remote position.No visa sponsorship available.Not hiring in Wyoming or Illinois at this time.Compensation range$55/hr - $100/hrFor cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies.
