What we are looking forAvantStay is seeking an AI Solution Architect to lead our efforts in integrating Artificial Intelligence into our technology stack. As part of our engineering team, you’ll be responsible for researching, prototyping, and implementing AI tools and practices that unlock new capabilities across the business. We’re looking for someone who thrives on applying cutting-edge AI tools, knows how to build scalable solutions, and is excited to share that knowledge with others.This role is perfect for someone with strong individual contributor skills who also enjoys writing documentation, creating internal standards, and guiding others toward AI best practices.What you'll doExplore Evaluate: Research, prototype, and implement state-of-the-art AI technologies including LLMs, vector databases, agent frameworks, and open-source models.Build Ship: Design, develop, test, and deploy production-ready AI features that deliver tangible business value.Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with engineering, product, and operations to identify high-leverage AI use cases.Establish Best Practices: Define internal standards, frameworks, and documentation for scalable and responsible AI development.Up-skill the Team: Lead workshops, mentor engineers, and foster a culture of AI fluency across the org.Architect Solutions: Influence architectural decisions for robust and cost-effective AI infrastructure.Optimize Resources: Develop strategies for cost-performance tradeoffs in deploying AI models at scale.RequirementsWhat you'll bringProven experience of shipping AI-powered features that delivered real business value.Hands-on experience building with today’s top AI tools: LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic), orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex), vector search (FAISS, Pinecone), and agentic systems.Strong programming skills in at least one programming language suitable for AI development (e.g. Python).Experience designing and deploying end-to-end machine learning or AI-powered systems.Comfort with ambiguity, prototyping, and experimenting with fast-evolving tools.Passion for teaching, writing clear documentation, and enabling others to learn.Strong systems thinking and an ability to translate business problems into AI solutions.A hacker’s mindset - creative, pragmatic, and execution-oriented.Experience working in or building your own startup is a strong plus.We understand that everyone’s path is different.
