AI Senior Engineer Our Story Over the past several years, Able has grown immeasurably. We’ve also grown in the type of company that we are: Chapter 1: We were founded in 2013 as a product and engineering hub for a portfolio of early-stage start-ups. We grew up as an in-house/external hybrid shared services model. That allowed us to hone our skills and establish our operational and cultural foundation. Chapter 2: In 2019 we began to expand our vision. We began to grow outside of our inset partner base. We had good initial success meeting new partners, kicking off new relationships, and delivering high-value work. Chapter 3: In 2023, we moved into the next phase of a new chapter, an expansion of the ambition of Chapter 2. Our strategy for growth centers around two audiences: Venture Capital: VC firms are looking for trusted product and technology solutions to distribute seamlessly across their portfolios at scale. Private Equity: PE firms are looking for trusted solutions that can catalyze growth for their portfolio companies at scale. Chapter 3a: We are now in the next phase of Chapter 3, aligned to our mission and vision, and accelerated by the powers of applied AI. We believe that AI will be a powerful force in the end-to-end software development lifecycle. Specifically we are creating practices that – coupled with our world class talent – can deliver software significantly faster than legacy techniques. The result is increased value for our partners, who can dramatically increase the capacity of their product organizations. About the Role As our AI expert, you will lead the design and implementation of innovative and practical technical solutions that address a wide range of business needs. You will play a key role in establishing Able as a leader in the AI space by driving our vision for AI and helping to shape the future of our products and services. What we’re looking for Must haves 5+ years in AI development, experience deploying and monitoring custom ML and generative models to production Deep understanding of Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing models and techniques Demonstrated experience leading large and complex projects Proven experience integrating ML and generative models with existing web and mobile applications Innate ability to effectively interact and inspire our partners and executive stakeholders on new AI ideas Demonstrated skill in connecting business challenges to the potential benefits of AI, and effectively communicating those opportunities to non-technical audiences Excellent English verbal and written communication Nice to haves Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on AI and Machine Learning Your day-to-day Technical Leadership : leading technical conversations, being hands-on in building demo applications or proof of concepts, and establishing AI/ML guidelines and standards for our partners, prospects, and across the organization. Entrepreneurship : spotting market opportunities to match technology with business outcomes AI Thought Leadership and Innovation : driving Able’s AI strategy forward by constantly exploring and implementing cutting-edge AI technologies, frameworks, and tools. Consulting/Business development : working with partners/prospects to understand their business and conceive of opportunities to introduce technology (AI specifically) to improve performance AI Enablement : providing coaching and mentorship, continuously enhancing our team's AI capabilities through knowledge sharing and training on the latest technology and best practices.
