American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. seeks AI Research and Development Leads to drive IT project management involving the research and implementation of AI algorithms, models, and technologies, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and stakeholder expectations. Coordinate with data scientists and engineers to integrate AI solutions into digital products, overseeing project milestones, deliverables, and quality standards. Plan and monitor the development, testing, and delivery of capabilities, ensuring projects stay within scope, budget, and schedule, working with the relevant technology teams. Define and document project requirements, creating features, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide development efforts. Establish tracking and reporting mechanisms to measure project performance, identify risks, and drive continuous improvements. Oversee the use of database management and Big Data techniques to identify risks and enhance risk management methodologies within project workflows. Drive competitive assessments and analyze business decisions using predictive analytics, translating data insights into actionable recommendations. Develop and maintain the product roadmap, defining timelines, prioritizing the feature backlog, and managing end-to-end user flows to align with business objectives.
Position requires a Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with automation, AI-driven analytics, cloud-based environments, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS. Experience must also include 1 year of experience with each of the following: performance tracking, executive reporting, and data visualization for strategic decision-making; process optimization and automation to improve operational efficiency and scalability; leading cross-functional projects and supporting organizational development initiatives; applying Agile and Scrum methodologies across digital product lifecycles; implementing machine learning solutions, Big Data analytics, and modernizing legacy Mainframe systems; and Rally, Jira, Confluence, Mural, Smartsheet, IntelliJ, GitHub, Postman, PostgreSQL, Tableau, Power BI RESTful APIs, R-studio, Cornerstone DB, Splunk, and SAFe Studio. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.
Job Location: Phoenix, AZ
Salary Range: $125,986.00 to $131,000.00 annually
