Avesta Housing is seeking an AI Innovation Fellow to support hands-on research, process improvement, and practical experimentation with technology in a mission-driven nonprofit setting. In this short-term fellowship, you’ll explore AI tools, collaborate with staff to understand operational challenges, and help design practical solutions that improve efficiency, communication, and effectiveness. What We're Looking For The person who is ready for this opportunity will have: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Ability to gather, synthesize, and present qualitative information. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to work both independently and collaboratively. Ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines, and follow through on tasks. Requirements Current enrollment in, or recent completion of, an associate, bachelor’s or graduate degree program in a relevant field such as business, public policy, data analytics, computer science or other related area is preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered. Experience with generative AI tools (e.g., large language models, workflow automation), workflow analysis, process mapping, or technology implementation support preferred. Experience with research, writing, project coordination, documentation, data organization or administrative support preferred. Compensation: $5,000 stipend Work Location This role is primarily remote and requires regular virtual engagement with on-site staff.
