AI Engineer (LLM + Real Estate Focus)
We're a startup building a conversational AI tool for real estate. The goal: take a basic retrieval-based chatbot and transform it into a sticky, intelligent copilot — something that understands zoning, valuations, and development logic, and can drive real, subject-matter conversations. We're looking for an engineer who understands LLMs, has experience with fine-tuning or prompt workflows, and ideally brings real estate or domain-specific chatbot experience to the table. What You’ll Be Doing: Develop or improve LLM pipelines to make our bot more conversational and engaging Implement prompt strategies or fine-tuning to give the bot real estate-specific reasoning Move beyond simple retrieval to ask follow-ups, clarify user intent, and simulate expert insight Work with our team to integrate the model into an existing UI (optional but ideal) Skills We’re Looking For: Experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, etc.) Familiar with prompt engineering, RAG, or LLM fine-tuning Able to build or integrate conversational flows that go beyond basic Q&A Bonus: Familiar with zoning, permitting, property valuation, or similar real estate concepts Bonus: Comfortable with full stack development, or at least API/UX integration Tools/Stack: OpenAI API or similar LLM platforms LangChain (or comparable framework) Vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Weaviate, Redis) Node.js / Python back-end React front-end (already built) Timeline: Initial project: 4–8 weeks Potential for long-term work if we’re a good fit Ideal Fit: You’ve built LLM-powered bots before You enjoy making AI tools feel more human and intelligent You can work independently and communicate clearly You’re curious about real estate, or at least open to learning the domain quickly To Apply: Please include: A brief intro and why this project fits your skill set Relevant examples of LLM or AI chatbot work Real estate or domain-specific experience (if any) Your rate and availability TL;DR: We need an AI engineer to help make our real estate chatbot smarter, more conversational, and useful to developers — not just a question-answering tool, but a thinking assistant.
