Pay Range - $75 - $80/hr
We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our prime clients for a position AI Developer - Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform to work on Remote basis.
Two keys focus areas:
ā¢ Very strong with Copilot Studio
ā¢ Very strong with AI Builder
ā¢ All candidates supporting the CMS programs must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior in order to be considered.
ā¢ The work schedule is 9am 5pm EST
ā¢ Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust or higher
AI Developer - Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced AI Developer with project related experience deploying Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Platform. This position will design, build, and deploy advanced AI-driven solutions across enterprise M365 environments. This role will focus on developing RAG-based architectures, custom Copilot agents, AI Builder models, and intelligent automation solutions while ensuring governance, security, and compliance standards are upheld.
Primary Responsibilities
ā¢ Design and implement RAG-based solutions integrating Microsoft Copilot Studio into existing Microsoft 365 services (e.g., Microsoft Dataverse, Power Automate).
ā¢ Design and build custom Copilot agents tailored to enterprise use cases.
ā¢ Customize Copilot Studio for automated document management, data analysis, and workflow intelligence across Excel, Teams, and Power BI.
ā¢ Configure and optimize the Semantic Index for context-sensitive search enrichment.
ā¢ Design conversational flows, intents, and entities aligned to UX best practices.
ā¢ Translate stakeholder requirements into scalable Copilot capabilities.
ā¢ Implement governance and Responsible AI best practices (including Microsoft Purview compliance checks).
ā¢ Design, build, and deploy AI Builder models (form processing, prediction, object detection, classification).
ā¢ Own the full AI model lifecycle: data preparation, labeling, training, evaluation, retraining, and optimization.
ā¢ Troubleshoot and enhance bot performance, accuracy, and engagement.
ā¢ Develop Canvas and Model-Driven Apps using Microsoft Power Apps.
ā¢ Implement data integrations leveraging Power Automate and Dataverse.
ā¢ Support roadmap development and service strategy for M365 Power Platform services.
ā¢ Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
ā¢ Produce engineering documentation (Visio diagrams, as-built docs, runbooks, operations guides).
ā¢ Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and iterative delivery cycles.
ā¢ Stay current with emerging AI, GenAI, and automation technologies, advising leadership on strategic adoption.
ā¢ Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher clearance.
ā¢ Must have lived in the United States at least three (3) of the last five (5) years (CMS program requirement).
ā¢ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Copilot Studio and conversational AI design.
ā¢ Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic AI principles.
ā¢ Hands-on experience with:
ā¢ Copilot Studio (chatbot development, adaptive cards, AI-driven automation)
ā¢ Power Virtual Agents
ā¢ AI Builder model development and lifecycle management
ā¢ Power Apps (Canvas and/or Model-driven)
ā¢ Power Platform and SharePoint integrations
ā¢ Experience building workflows, APIs, custom connectors, and enterprise integrations.
ā¢ Familiarity with AI governance, data compliance, and digital transformation initiatives.
ā¢ Experience with DevOps methodologies and large-scale (10,000+ user) environments.
Preferred Qualifications
ā¢ Experience with change management or organizational adoption frameworks.
ā¢ Understanding of Capstone and NARA data retention compliance principles.
ā¢ Experience with Power BI dashboards and reporting.
ā¢ Exposure to RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
ā¢ Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW) ticketing and change control.
ā¢ Microsoft certifications such as PL-100, PL-200, or MS-900.
