Talascend is currently seeking an AGILE COACH for a remote contract opportunity.

DURATION: 6 months with possible extension(s)
LOCATION: FULLY REMOTE; TRAVEL REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION;
US CITIZENSHIP OR GREEN CARD/PERM RESIDENCY REQUIRED.

OVERVIEW:

Are you interested in improving and shaping the delivery of IT projects? We’re seeking an Agile Coach who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting large information technology projects for one of our clients, who is one of the top 10 largest Electric Companies in the U.S., Headquartered in New Orleans.

The Agile Coach will mentor and guide our scrum teams in how to figure out the best solutions for their specific projects. This person will analyze our organization’s existing infrastructure and implement improvements to help streamline processes and create efficiencies. Ultimately, the Agile Coach will play a key role in long-term strategy across the business... helping our teams deliver better products in a faster, more efficient manner.

Location: This position will require travel to be on-site at multiple client locations, including travel between these locations. 100% travel for project start-up, then between 50%-100% throughout the rest of the project.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Facilitate learning and development among Scrum Teams through individual & team coaching.
• Coach Senior Managers in Agile practices to ensure adoption of best practices from top down.
• Communicate Agile principles, Scrum practices, and overall operating model across the organization and its vendors.
• Champion the use of metrics and other objective measures by teams.
• Schedule and run daily follow-ups with individual team members to ensure projects are on track and goals are being met.
• Maintain objectivity regarding issues and how to troubleshoot them by applying Agile principles.
• Support teams in determining resource allocations to maintain Agile practices and ensure smooth project delivery.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience as Agile Coach.
• Experience in utilizing Scrum.
• Track record of implementing Agile techniques in different work cultures and environments.
• Experience in running Agile projects of varying size and complexity.
• Strong skills for leading, educating, and coaching.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Certification as Agile Coach or Scrum Master
• Previous Utility experience preferred.
