Yoga Teacher Needed!
Do you have experience working with kids and Yoga? Do you love working with children? Apollo After School is looking for you!
Compensation: $18 to $20 hourly (depending on experience).
Location: New Jersey (Chatham and Mendham)
Starting Date: School Year 2025 - 2026
Hours:
ā¢ After Care 3 days per week from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
As an Apollo Yoga Teacher, you will be expected to have a reliable means of personal transportation and be able to work in our extended-day program at various after-school sites in the New Jersey area.
Apollo After School offers after-school care and enrichment clubs at local schools. We are seeking enthusiastic, outgoing, personable, and reliable Yoga Teachers to join our aftercare program and provide engaging and age-appropriate yoga instruction to children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, a deep understanding of yoga principles, and the ability to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes physical, emotional, and mental well-being. If you don't have a degree as a professional Yoga instructor or in education, no problem! While this is highly valuable we encourage candidates who have a real, genuine passion for working with children and Yoga to apply!

Responsibilities
ā¢ As an Apollo Yoga Teacher, you will have the opportunity to positively impact children through Yoga.
ā¢ Planning and implementing engaging Yoga lessons for children aged Pre-K to 5th grade, focusing on beginner-level.
ā¢ Develop age-appropriate yoga activities that foster physical flexibility, strength, and relaxation.
ā¢ Create a safe and supportive environment where children feel comfortable and encouraged to participate.
ā¢ Teach breathing techniques, mindfulness, and relaxation exercises suitable for children.
ā¢ Integrate storytelling, games, and music to make yoga sessions enjoyable and interactive.
ā¢ Promote positive behavior and social interactions among children.
ā¢ Collaborate with other aftercare staff to ensure a cohesive program experience.
ā¢ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of child development and best practices in yoga education.
Requirements
ā¢ Must enjoy Yoga and have a strong desire to inspire young minds.
ā¢ Knowledge of different Yoga techniques and adapting them to children.
ā¢ Experience working with children, Pre-K to 5th grade.
ā¢ Experience teaching Yoga to kids is a plus.
ā¢ Ability to create fun engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans.
ā¢ Excellent communication skills.
ā¢ Energetic, patient, and knowledgeable on how to share positive feedback.
ā¢ Great ability to motivate and encourage young minds.
ā¢ Availability to move to different sites.
