Aerospace Manufacturing - Supply Chain & Vendor Management - Dallas-Fort Worth, TX
Seeking individual with background in Supply Chain Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Logistics, or similar management role within a production machining or related manufacturing environment.
Company is a growing aerospace machine shop with customers that require adherence to NADCAP, AS9100, and ISO 9001. We are looking for an individual with a background in aerospace manufacturing, or similar with specific quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Activities:
Ā ** Source, select, and manage relationships with treatment chemical, metal commodities, tooling, and equipment suppliers.
Ā ** Identify issues, come up with solutions, implement and manage improvement measures.
Ā ** Identify and meet customer expectations for quality, timeliness, lead times, etc.
Ā ** Audit vendors and identify opportunities to optimize the movement of materials from supplier to manufacturing to customer.
Ā ** Negotiate terms and pricing with vendors, suppliers, and freight forwarders.
Requirements:
Ā ** Extensive experience sourcing, selecting, auditing, validating, and rejecting suppliers for: metals including aluminum, titanium, steel, or alloys; surface treatment chemicals; coatings; equipment and tooling; etc.
Ā ** Knowledge of machining and metal finishing, surface treatment, coating, and similar processes is helpful to succeed in this role.
