Requirements
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree preferred with at least 5 -- 7 years of work experience, or equivalent zOS experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Ā Mainframe zOS systems software programming experience and expertise.
Ā Experience working with hardware to include a basic understanding of FICON/ESCON connectivity, DASD architecture [alias (PAV) management, cryptographic coprocessors, data encryption techniques] and virtual (VTS) tape libraries.
Ā zOS experience with catalog management, ISPF/SDSF, z/FS Filesystems, Unix System Services, RACF, JES parameters, SYS1.PARMLIB, SYS1.PROCLIB members.
Ā zOS SYSPLEX management including couple dataset definition and coupling facilities.
Ā Dataset/Storage/Disk/Tape management (allocation, backup, restore, etc.) including DFDSS, DFSMS storage constructs, DFHSM Mgmt/Cleanup, DFRMM, XCF, System Logger, etc.
Ā Ability to debug and resolve Mainframe operating system software issues (across older to current z/OS levels).
Ā Work well in a team environment.
Ā Ability to work independently as needed.
Ā Ability to teach and assist users and other team members.
Ā Availability to work some weekend / off-shift coverage and maintenance windows.
Ā Deep knowledge of zOS and JES System Programming.
Ā RACF Administration Experience; Userids, RACF User Groups, Resources, KeyRings, etc.
Ā IBM Software Installations: ServerPacs using zOSMF, CBPDO, any related IBM Software product installs and customization.
