Advisor to the Board of Directors

Position Overview Eagle Rock is seeking a committed and mission-driven individual to serve as an advisor to the Board of Directors. Advisors play a vital role in guiding the strategic direction, sustainability, and growth of the organization. We are specifically seeking someone with experience or strong interest in fundraising and donor development who can help expand the financial support needed to serve veterans and their families. As a faith-based nonprofit, Eagle Rock integrates those values into its mission and programming. Board members are expected to support and affirm the organization’s spiritual foundation and provide a statement of faith as part of the application process. Responsibilities Advisors are expected to actively support the mission and governance of Eagle Rock through the following: • Provide strategic guidance and oversight to support the organization’s mission and long-term sustainability • Assist in fundraising efforts, including donor outreach, relationship development, and identifying new funding opportunities • Advocate for Eagle Rock within the community and help expand the organization’s network of supporters • Participate in monthly board meetings and organizational planning discussions • Support the development and execution of fundraising campaigns and events • Serve as ambassadors for Eagle Rock and promote its mission to serve veterans and their families • Ensure the organization maintains ethical standards and responsible stewardship of resources Desired Qualifications Ideal candidates will possess some or all of the following: • Passion for supporting veterans and their families • Commitment to the faith-based mission of Eagle Rock • Experience in fundraising, donor relations, business development, philanthropy, or nonprofit leadership • Strong professional networks that may support fundraising or partnerships • Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively with other board members • Willingness to actively engage in advancing the organization’s mission Faith Requirement Eagle Rock is a faith-based nonprofit organization. Board members must support the spiritual mission of the organization and will be asked to provide a personal statement of faith affirming alignment with Eagle Rock’s values.
