Job Qualifications
• Natural sense of curiosity, a willingness to learn complex processes, and a dedication to accuracy and consistency.
• An awareness and commitment to confidentiality is also a must.
• Being able to work as both part of a team, but also independently with limited supervision is necessary.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Excel is preferred, but training can be provided.
• Availability to work during some of the holidays season and the summer is also a plus.
Position Description/Job Duties
Calling all puzzle lovers and problem solvers! If you love tracking down answers to sometimes complex issues, and can't quit until it's resolved, we are the place for you. The Advancement Research department collects and stores a variety of important publicly accessible data across a variety of mediums for ongoing use by our Advancement Staff and Fundraisers, and other key campus individuals. You can help us both research new data for entry into our system of record (CRM Advance) and provide necessary updates to existing data. Our work provides the means to determine if projects can be funded financially, and provides the basic information to create connections to push funding goals to completion.
Student responsibilities for this job include maintaining updated data through task requests and one-off project lists on all Prospect records in CRM Advance, provide verification of certain types of external capacity data for ultimate prospect prioritization, and re-formatting data for presentation to fundraisers or Advancement staff primarily in Excel sheets or Google Docs.
Preferred Availability
10-20 hrs per week
