A Day in the Life of an Advanced RX Technician - Back End Operations and Closed-Door Pharmacy with OCR and BE Expertise As an Advanced RX Technician - Back End Operations and Closed-Door Pharmacy with OCR and BE Expertise, you'll work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with our team to ensure accurate and timely medication management. Your responsibilities will include: Partnering with function supervisors to coordinate workflow for assigned areas, preparing and processing medications Rotating and working in various assigned pharmacy workstations, including Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, and Machine Packaging Receiving product deliveries, pulling and staging product for distribution, rotating stock, and coordinating activities with drivers to ensure shipments are accurate and deliveries are timely Performing physical inventories of medication Reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy Coordinating stock rotations and managing inventory levels Key Responsibilities As an Advanced RX Technician - Back End Operations and Closed-Door Pharmacy with OCR and BE Expertise, you'll be responsible for: Ensuring accurate and timely medication management for patients in various healthcare settings Maintaining regulatory compliance with state and federal laws Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow and improve patient care Providing exceptional customer service to healthcare professionals and patients Participating in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, as required by state law One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience High school diploma or equivalent required; verifiable documentation may be requested Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in the long-term care industry Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting PTCB National Certification Five (5) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience Skills and Competencies To succeed as an Advanced RX Technician - Back End Operations and Closed-Door Pharmacy with OCR and BE Expertise, you'll need: Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Basic computer skills and proficiency in pharmacy management software Knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication management and regulatory compliance Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At CVS Health, we're committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
